Academic programmes

o     Popular, Clinician-oriented programs at Taluk/area level
o     Workshops, Theoretical classes & Long-term study programs at district level
o     Should attract all sectors of the members
o     Should serve the purpose of membership campaign as well

Social Interaction Programmes

o     Get connected with the society
o     Keep a pool of resource persons to deliver lectures/awareness classes ‘on call’
o     Getting into any occasion deliberately
o     Try to establish debate with other systems like allopathy, homeo etc.
o     Keep good rapport with the media

o     Research institutes (eg. NRIP)

2. Pre & Post Natal Care in Ayurveda

o     2-day state level workshop
o     Huge public demand
o     Different methods are practiced, not uniform
o     No practical training in academy
o     Many traditional techniques extinct
o     No proper documentation

3. Documentation in Clinical Practice

o     State-level workshop
o     Important method of systematizing clinical practice
o     Practitioners and hospital-reps are targeted
o     Helps in protocol-development, data collection and publications

4. Rasa Preparations

o     1 day workshop: district level
o     Physicians under/un-informed about preparations
o     Conventional & unconventional uses
o     Better tools for emergency
o     Fear factor in society
o     Safety / pharmaco-vigilance

5. Art of Prescribing

o     Workshop
o     Beginners targeted
o     Improving professional precision
o     Better practitioners higher social acceptance
o     Use and misuse of various preparations debated wsrt specific diseases

6. Scientific Writing

o     Workshop
o     House-surgeons, youngsters & teachers targeted
o     Essential to make the system live & contemporary
o     Least-attended area
o     Unprecedented 

7. Autonomy in Practice

o     Workshop
o     Private practitioners targeted
o     Unlimited scope but a grey area
o     Preparation of medicines : practical tips, experiences
o     Basic rules and regulations
o     Ethical standards
o     Financial management & Loan schemes

8. Planning & Implementation of Projects

o     Workshop
o     Medical officers targeted
o     Essential to make the section live and realistic
o     Most important obstacle in fund-flow from Govt. & Non-Govt agencies

9. Workshop on “Marmachikitsa”

o     South-Indian (?) Workshop
o     3 months **  6 days ** 12 lecture-demos
o     Master-piece program of the year
o     All aspects to be covered

Taluk level CMEs

o     Best tool for developing good rapport among members
o     Monthly programs
o     Better inter-personal relations
o     Spontaneous coverage of membership
o     Youngsters can be attracted easily
o     Local resource utilized to the best
o     Prepare calendar in advance
o     Grass-root level practitioners are targeted
o     Local needs preferred / ‘one topic a year’ is a good model
o     Avoid unnecessary luxury
o     Cost-effective but max. outcome
o     Should cover all areas and persons
o     should not be crowd-pullers
o     Hospitals/houses preferred over hotels/auditoriums
o     Female participation to be ensured
o     Half-day sessions preferred
